How I Changed My Whole Life In 4 Months (Video)

2018 was my first year working at a “normal job”, setting into the routine that is common for people living in cities: work, commute, gym. But I knew that I wanted something DIFFERENT.

In January 2019 - I knew I wanted to get back into creating content for these channels. This is where I get to say whatever I want, no filter, and just be me! I get to experiment with styles that I don’t get to at work and build my creative skills.

While not an official blog, here are my personal notes from this video! (Please pardon if some of the grammar and spelling is off. These are literally the notes I made for filming the video, including some details not mentioned in the video. While not perfectly polished, I figured that you might still find it helpful and insightful!)

LOTS OF SELF REFLECTION:

  • What do I really want? Build that intrinsic motivation.

  • FUEL YOUR MIND AND SOUL

  • Shaking up your whole life is going to take a lot of determination

  • Gathering momentum

  • Stop talking to people - just talk to God, or higher power, your soul. Life is always talking to you!

  • Get Clarity: what do you want out of life?

  • MAKE A BIG LIST - and prioritize - what do you want RIGHT NOW.

ADOPT A “TRAINING” MENTALITY: TRAIN FOR A DREAM.

The motivation and reason for you to CHANGE

  • Who are you capable of being? A superstar mom? what is more for you? what is destiny for you? what’s your dream!?

  • I’m in “God’s Leadership Development Program.” in training to be a CEO.

  • I pinpointed areas of my life that I wanted to work on!

CHANGE THE HABITS

  • Start changing the HABITS.

  • What you do each day matters more than what you do once a week or once a month!

  • Habits I changed:

    • Waking up EARLY:

    • Working out in the morning

    • Changed when I eat and what

    • Keeping a very tidy room

    • Reflecting once a week - actually checking in other other day.

    • Uniform for work - less time thinking about certain things.

BECOME A CALENDAR NINJA

  • I find this to be fun! It’s like a game! How can I optimize my calendar and my time! every week since end of Jan - I’ve been doing a weekly reflection and made program.

  • ie. First i overloaded myself with work. then I realized that I need play and rest and social time. I’ve also been tweaking how to use my weekends well. Read all of Laura Vanderkam’s books - really helpful for realizing how to use my time smarter - that I actually have a LOT of time if i use it wisely!

  • 168 Hours: you have more time than you think. All the Time in the World. WE DO have a lot of time

TRANSITION INTO THE TRANSITION

  • You can SHOCK your system, or your can transition into it

  • i could do something extreme like travel - but i’ve done that - and this is how we can make the most of our lives now!

  • IE. TRAVEL OR WAKE UP AT 5AM -

  • Pick a transition point, date or birthday. it’s a pace between you and yourself (and God)

  • I used the beginning of the year + my birthday.

  • Yes there is going to be an element of shock. It is likely will be painful

  • robin sharma, 66 days to install a habit. messy for 22, beautiful at the end. I didn’t even need to wait 66 days.

  • On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behavior becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact. And how long it takes a new habit to form can vary widely depending on the behavior, the person, and the circumstances. In a study, it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for people to form a new habit.

GIVE YOURSELF GRACE BUT DON’T GIVE UP.

HAVE FUN AND THEN MORE FUN.

  • You are not a slave. You are a human being with dreams and visions for reason!

  • Life is NOT supposed to SUCK! learning how to have an epic, fulfulling, abundant life.

  • I’m LIVING MY DREAMS again!
